Vacancy Name: Audit and Risk Committee Members
Job Location: South Africa
Salary: The successful applicant will be remunerated in line with National Treasury Instruction and the Board Remuneration policy. Fees are inclusive of all refundable expenses.
Job Requirements & Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of internal audit as an independent governance assurance function (distinct from external audit), including PFMA, Treasury Regulations, IIA Standards, King IV TM and oversight of the Chief Audit Executive.
- At least 10 years’ senior or executive management experience, including at least 5 years’ service on boards, audit and risk committees, or comparable oversight structures.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification at NQF level 8 or higher in accounting, internal auditing,financial management, risk management, information technology, governance or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated public-sector governance experience and sound knowledge of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
- Independence from RTIA and the ability to disclose and manage actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest.
